A detailed injection-molded plastic model of the British destroyer HMS Martin in her 1942 state in 1:700 scale from the production of the Flyhawk brand. Besides the plastic parts, the premium Deluxe edition contains photo-etched sheet, 3D-printed parts, metal elements and decals, so that it makes it possible to build a very faithful and finely detailed model of a small warship. The hull and the superstructures are based on period references.
HMS Martin was one of the L-class destroyers of the Royal Navy of the Second World War period. These ships were fast, versatile and deployed both for escorting convoys and for combat tasks. HMS Martin served only briefly - she was sunk in 1942 in the Mediterranean. The main armament consisted of 4.7-inch twin guns in enclosed turrets supplemented by anti-aircraft weapons and torpedo tubes.
This is a detailed model for more experienced modelers. Bond the plastic parts with thin cement for plastic and the photo-etched sheet, the metal and the 3D-printed parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate); first wash the print resin residue off the parts. A small model will appreciate a fine airbrush, precise masking and emphasis of the details with a wash. The model can be built as a waterline model or with a full hull on a stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
