Zimi Model 1:35, the crew of the 40 mm quad Bofors, set 1 (with life jackets) are 3D printed figures of the crew of a US Navy anti-aircraft gun.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set holds 3D printed resin figures of the crew of the American naval 40 mm quad Bofors anti-aircraft gun of the Second World War. It is a figure set, not a model of the weapon. The figures in this variant wear life jackets, so they suit deck scenes with the crew at the ready.
The quad 40 mm Bofors was one of the most effective anti-aircraft weapons of the US Navy. It was mounted on the decks of cruisers, battleships and smaller vessels, and its multi-man crew of loaders, gunners and a captain is a rewarding subject for a deck diorama. Life jackets were part of the crew's ordinary equipment during combat situations.
The figures are printed in resin; remove the print supports carefully, clean the surfaces up and bond any joints with super glue. We recommend a primer, then painting with acrylics or oils and soft shading to bring out the folds of the uniforms and the faces.
The set holds figures only. The weapon, paints and glue are not included in the package. Suited to more experienced modelers.
