A pair of 600 gallon auxiliary fuel tanks for an F-16 Fighting Falcon model in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine fighter with a bubble canopy and an air intake under the fuselage. To get farther than its internal fuel allows, it carries auxiliary tanks on its pylons. They are among the most conspicuous external stores, because their length changes the silhouette of the aircraft from below and from the side.
The package holds two auxiliary fuel tanks marked 600 gallons, that is, from among the larger ones that appear on the F-16. It is an accessory for a model, not a kit.
The parts are not polystyrene and are glued with super glue. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder back so that the mounting surface sits flat. Wash and degrease the tanks before painting. Check dry how the tank sits against the pylon of your kit and level the mating surface if needed. It is good to set both tanks at the same angle and to hang them at the same height, because asymmetry among external stores shows at first glance. Lay the paint on in thin coats so that the surface relief is preserved.
The set suits modelers building the F-16 in a ferry configuration with a full load of stores. The kit, the pylons, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
