The KC-130J is the tanker and transport version of the Hercules operated by the United States Marine Corps. Harvest Hawk is a suite that can be installed in the aircraft and taken out again without the machine being permanently changed. Thanks to it a tanker aircraft can support units on the ground: it carries a sensor turret with optics and a pylon for guided missiles under the wing. The sensor turret is moreover placed unconventionally, on the left auxiliary fuel tank, so it does without any intervention in the fuselage. Once the suite is taken out, the aircraft returns to its original tanker and transport role.
This is a conversion set, that is parts for reworking an already existing model, not a model on its own. The 1:144 scale is small, so the parts are tiny and are worked with tweezers. Which parts the set holds and where they belong on the model is stated in the maker's instructions.
The parts are not of polystyrene, so join them with super glue; ordinary cement for plastic models has no effect on them. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little distance from the part and sand the rest. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and apply a primer. It is practical to paint the small pieces before they are cut off and glued on, as they are otherwise hard to handle. Work over a base with raised edges.
For modelers who collect contemporary transport and special-purpose aircraft in a small scale and want a machine in the display case that is not usually in one. A model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
