The photo-etched set Eduard Bismarck 1:700 brings fine metal parts for refining a model of the German battleship Bismarck in 1:700 scale. It is not a model but an accessory to a Bismarck kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set for the Bismarck in 1:700 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. This is not a model but a set of fine brass parts - railings, ladders, radars, cranes and other deck details - that will replace the coarse plastic elements of the German battleship Bismarck in the small 1:700 scale.
The Bismarck was a German battleship of the Second World War, sunk in May 1941. In the small 1:700 scale the gains from photo-etch show up particularly well: the plastic railings here are disproportionately thick, whereas thin photo-etch gives the ship fineness and railings that are true to scale. The set complements a matching plastic Bismarck kit in this scale.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife or photo-etch scissors, make the bends as the instructions say (ideally in a photo-etch bending tool) and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); cement for plastic does not hold on metal. With long railings patience pays off, as does gluing in shorter sections. In the small 1:700 scale, work with tweezers and good lighting, because the parts are very small. We recommend spraying the unpainted parts with primer and with the ship's shade before installation.
The photo-etched set is an accessory, not a model. The ship kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
