A plastic kit of the German destroyer Zerstörer Z-30 as she was in 1942, in 1:700 scale from Trumpeter. The hull uses multi-axis molding and can be built full-hull or as a waterline model. Photo-etched parts for the mast and the radar elements and a base are included.
Z-30 belonged to the German destroyers of Type 1936A. These ships had a markedly flared bow and unusually heavy gun armament of 150 mm caliber, which brought them closer to light cruisers than to the ordinary destroyers of the day in terms of firepower. They were used above all in northern and Atlantic waters.
Choose the full-hull or the waterline version. Glue the fine photo-etched parts of the mast and the radar with super glue and protect your breathing while sanding. Paint the deck and the hull with an airbrush in a period gray scheme and bring out the engraving of the deck with a thin wash. Set the model into the stand provided; photo-etched railings, which are not included in the package, are a suitable accessory.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
