A wooden deck 1:700 for a model of the Japanese gunboat Uji in her 1945 state is an accessory to a ship kit: a self-adhesive veneer with the laying of the planks printed on it.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package holds an accessory to a ship model, not the model itself. A wooden veneer with a self-adhesive base and the printed laying of the deck planks will replace the plastic deck of the basic kit. The Uji is a small vessel, so the deck is small as well, and all the more it comes into play on the finished model, because with small ships the observer is automatically closer and notices the details of the surface.
The Uji was a gunboat of the Imperial Japanese Navy. The designation of the year 1945 in the name refers to a late state of the vessel. Gunboats were small ships of shallow draft, intended for patrol and escort service, with a cramped deck and a superstructure taking up a considerable part of the length of the hull.
A small deck is harder to hold in the fingers, so clamp or support the model before gluing, to have both hands free. Carry the veneer with tweezers with smooth jaws, not with your fingers, as fingerprints on wood are visible once it is varnished. With small vessels it also pays to prepare a stand or a base in advance: a finished model is often taken in the hand and the deck is precisely the place one touches most easily. Before the final varnishing, dust the deck gently with a soft brush, because wood catches fine dust more readily than smooth plastic.
The accessory is supplied on its own. The ship kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
