Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:700 scale from the Waterline series. The model is built as a waterline kit with a flat bottom and stands flat like a ship afloat. It captures the characteristic features of the late subgroup of the Fubuki class and the additional anti-aircraft armament of the late phase of the war. The package contains waterslide decals and several armament options.
The Hibiki was a special type destroyer of the Fubuki class. It took part in a number of operations in the Pacific and was among the ships of this class that survived the Second World War. In the late phase of the war it received strengthened anti-aircraft armament in the form of many triple 25mm guns.
A waterline model needs no stand. Separate the fine parts of the anti-aircraft armament and the masts carefully, glue them with liquid cement for plastic, and photo-etched railings from accessory sets raise the realism. The hull is sprayed in a shade of Japanese naval gray, and final weathering and picking out the panels add depth.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
