Tamiya, the Japanese light cruiser Yahagi (1:700). A plastic kit of the Japanese light cruiser from the Waterline series.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit from Tamiya capturing the Japanese light cruiser Yahagi in 1:700 scale, from the traditional series of ship models built to the waterline (the Waterline Series). The model contains the hull, superstructures, armament and fine deck detail. It is an injection-molded plastic model meant to be assembled and painted.
The Yahagi was a Japanese light cruiser of the Agano class of the Second World War, designed among other things as the flagship of destroyer flotillas. It was characterized by a slender hull, main caliber guns, torpedo tubes and anti-aircraft armament. The Yahagi took part in the last major operation of the Imperial Japanese Navy and was sunk in 1945.
A waterline model suits a sea-surface diorama; fine railings, antennas and cranes will benefit from supplementary etched parts. Paint the hull and superstructures in shades of Japanese naval gray, set the wooden decks apart and pick out the detail with fine weathering and a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
