Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese battleship Nagato in 1:700 scale from Aoshima. The SD (super detail) version brings a richly broken-up superstructure, a finely engraved deck and well worked-out armament and equipment. Unlike the basic models in the range this is a full-hull version, so you can build the ship with its underwater section on a stand as well.
The Nagato was a Japanese battleship and one of the most powerful units of the Imperial Japanese Navy of its day, armed with a main battery of 41 cm guns. Toward the end of the Second World War it served largely as a fixed defensive platform and was among the few large ships that survived the war. The model captures its appearance in 1945 with the matching arrangement of armament and superstructure.
Decide between building the full hull on a stand and the waterline version. Separate the small parts of the superstructure and the boats carefully and bond them with a liquid cement for plastic. Spray the base with an airbrush and bring the deck and the details out with a dark wash that runs into the engraved lines. The fine accessories come into their own after a careful dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
