An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary ocean liner RMS Titanic in 1:700 scale from the maker Hobby Boss. It is a new tooling with a full hull, richly broken-down decks and a stand with a nameplate. The box contains a large number of plastic parts and a photo-etched part for finer detail. Thanks to its length of roughly 39 cm the assembled model is a striking centerpiece of a display case even in this small scale.
RMS Titanic was a British ocean liner of the White Star Line company and at the time of its completion one of the largest and most luxurious ships in the world. During its first voyage in April 1912 it sank in the North Atlantic after a collision with an iceberg, and over fifteen hundred people died. The disaster became one of the best-known maritime tragedies in history and the Titanic remains to this day a symbol of the era of the great liners.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies — first the hull and the decks, then the superstructures and the funnels. Apply a primer and spray the paints with an airbrush; the typical black hull, white superstructures and ocher funnels come out well with discreet patina and fine brightening of the edges. Glue the photo-etched part with cyanoacrylate. Place the model on the stand with the nameplate enclosed.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
