An injection-molded plastic kit of the destroyer USS Spruance (DD-963) in 1:700 scale from Dragon. The model represents the lead ship of the Spruance class, large American destroyers aimed above all at anti-submarine warfare.
The destroyers of the Spruance class were designed as large, roomy ships of the US Navy with the emphasis on anti-submarine warfare. They were powered by gas turbines and carried guns, anti-submarine armament and helicopters; later modifications added guided missiles. They served from the 1970s to the early 21st century.
In this scale, consider building the full hull or only the waterline part for a stand. Lay the paints on in thin coats so that the detail of the deck and the superstructure stays legible; fine railings can be added with photo-etched parts (not included in the package). Liven the surface up with a wash and a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
