Eduard 1:700 Yamato (new tool) is a photo-etched set for refining the details of the plastic model of the Japanese battleship Yamato. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech maker Eduard holds stainless photo-etch intended to refine the details of the plastic model of the battleship Yamato in 1:700 scale. It adds fine features of the superstructures, railings, ladders, deck fittings and other parts that injection-molded plastic cannot capture at this small scale. The set is an accessory for a model, not a standalone kit.
The Japanese battleship Yamato was the largest battleship ever built. She carried the main artillery of the largest caliber among battleships: guns of 46 cm (460 mm) caliber. She was a symbol of the Imperial Japanese Navy and was lost when she was sunk in 1945.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and glue them with super glue. Bend the railings, ladders and fine grilles in the etched score line, best of all in a bending tool. In 1:700 scale, work in good light and with tweezers. Degrease the parts before painting.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a kit. The plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
