Responsibility details are not available.
The 52-K was a Soviet anti-aircraft gun of 85 mm caliber taken into service at the end of the 1930s. During the Second World War it shielded troops and rear-area targets against air attack, and its performance let it fire at ground and armored targets as well. It was set up on a folding mount for firing, and a wheeled carriage served to move it. It stayed in service long after the war and spread to a number of armies.
A plastic kit in 1:72 scale, supplied unassembled and unpainted. The parts are attached to sprues; the builder cuts them off, cleans them up, glues them and paints them according to the enclosed instructions. The finished model is small and goes well as a companion to vehicles and figures in the same scale.
Assemble the trail arms and the outrigger legs on a flat surface, so that the gun stands firmly and symmetrically. Clean the barrel up along its whole length, as every unevenness shows on a slender cylinder. Cut the thin parts of the mechanism off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down. The green finish of Eastern-built equipment comes to life once the shadows around the rivets and the mechanisms are picked out and the lower part of the mount is lightly dusted.
The set suits collectors of artillery in 1:72 scale and diorama builders who need a period anti-aircraft position. Take the paint list and the markings from the instructions. Paints, glue and other materials are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
