This is a detail accessory, not an aircraft model. The set contains 3D-printed exhaust stacks for models of the Junkers Ju 88 in the A, C and D versions in 1:48 scale. The parts replace the simplified or solid exhausts from the plastic kit with faithful pieces that have the openings marked out.
The exhausts are among the most conspicuous details of the engine nacelles. The Ju 88 was a versatile German twin-engined bomber, heavy fighter and reconnaissance aircraft, used throughout the Second World War. Faithfully rendered exhausts with suggested openings and the right shape lift the realism of the engine sections considerably.
Separate the parts from the print supports carefully and clean up the surfaces by sanding. We recommend bonding with super glue. The exhausts are painted separately in matte metal and rust shades, ideally with pigments added for a burnt effect; they are usually fitted once the engine nacelles are finished.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
