A resin set from the Czech manufacturer CMK that replaces the dorsal gun turret of a Douglas A-20 model in 1:72 scale. According to the name it covers the A-20G, H, K and J versions, that is including the machines known in British service as the Boston Mk.IV and Mk.V. The turret sits on the spine of the fuselage and is visible from all sides, so every inaccuracy shows on it.
The rear defense of the A-20 was formed by a dorsal gun position. On the later versions the open position with flexible machine guns became an enclosed powered turret, which improved the gunner's protection and the speed of aiming. This very difference is one of the keys to recognizing the individual versions of the type in period pictures.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the surfaces. Paint the inside of the turret before you close it with the clear cover. Darken the gun barrels and suggest the muzzles with a darker dot. Glue the glazing with cement intended for clear parts, because super glue leaves a white haze on the glass. Fill and sand the seam against the fuselage.
The set is an accessory to a kit and does not replace the kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
