This resin set brings a refueling probe for in-flight refueling in the type A variant for a kit of the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk in 1:72 scale. It is not a stand-alone airplane model but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic part with a finer and more accurate casting.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was an American light carrier-based attack aircraft which, thanks to its compact design, served with a range of air arms around the world. The fixed refueling probe placed on the forward fuselage is one of its characteristic and prominently visible features. Individual machines differed in the configuration of the probe, which this set allows for with the type A variant.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces; protect your airways while sanding. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Glue the thin probe with a light touch and, if you like, reinforce the joint so that it stands up to handling.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
