This is a resin set intended for a plastic kit of the American Douglas A-4 Skyhawk carrier attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. The set is cast for the late version of the machine and replaces the wheels of a model with faithfully cast parts with a sagged tire tread and articulated hubs. Masking film for clean painting of the tire and the hub is included.
The A-4 Skyhawk was a compact single-seat carrier attack aircraft with a delta wing that stood out for its small size and its long service career. The later versions differed from the early ones in changes to the airframe and the equipment, for instance, which was reflected in details of the landing gear as well.
Wash the wheels to remove mold release residue and separate them from the casting blocks. Bond the cast tires with their sagged tread with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Stick the masking film onto the wheel, spray the tire and, once the mask is taken off, the hub stays cleanly bounded. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an aircraft model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
