A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the barrels of the onboard cannon of the American Douglas A-4B Skyhawk light attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. The muzzles at the wing root are drilled out and thin-walled, so the laborious drilling of the simplified plastic parts from the box falls away.
The cannon barrels are a small but conspicuous detail of the armament that is hard to drill out on plastic kits and easily damaged. The resin castings offer a sharp, open muzzle and an exact shape, so the armament of the compact Skyhawk looks realistic. Once fitted and painted in metallic shades they markedly lift the impression a finished model makes.
