This resin detail set brings a complete cockpit for a model of the American A-7D Corsair II attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory with which you replace the simplified cockpit from a plastic kit. The set usually contains a cockpit tub, an instrument panel, side consoles and an ejection seat with a fine relief of instruments and controls.
The A-7D Corsair II was a single-seat subsonic attack aircraft used by the US Air Force. It was derived from the naval carrier machine but received a more powerful engine and modified avionics for accurate bombing. It stood out for its long range, its large bomb load and its good attack accuracy; it was used to support ground forces and to destroy ground targets.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A primer, a dark cockpit shade, a dry brush on the edges and a fine wash work well; decals or precise brushwork will bring the instruments to life.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin part. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
