The real subject

The AH-1 Cobra is an American slim two-seat attack helicopter that grew out of the experience of the Vietnam War. The AH-1S version was given upgraded avionics and armament and was able to carry anti-tank guided missiles. Its hallmarks are the slender silhouette, the tandem cockpit and the gun turret under the nose. The type served with a number of countries.

Building and painting tips

Finish the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up; in a small scale take care over clean joints and a thin coat of paint. Assemble the underwing armament according to the instructions. Apply the paint with an airbrush over a primer, pick the panel lines out gently with a wash and glue the clear parts with a cement for canopies.
