This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Academy represents the upgraded AH-64D Block II version of the Apache attack helicopter. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted kit with engraved surface detail, a well detailed cockpit, landing gear and external stores.
The AH-64D is the upgraded version of the Apache attack helicopter, typically fitted with the ball-shaped radar housing above the main rotor head. The Block II form brought further changes to the avionics and systems compared with the earlier machines. The helicopter has a tandem two-seat cockpit and is intended above all for fighting armored vehicles and for supporting ground forces.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Glue the cockpit glazing only after the paint has been sprayed. Apply a base primer, put the paints on with an airbrush and bring out the engraving with a wash. Paint the external stores separately and fit them at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
