A set of relief decals from Kelik for the two-seat version of the AMX attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. Two cockpits one behind the other mean twice as many instrument panels and consoles, and that is exactly where this technology can save hours of painstaking painting. According to the name the set is tailored to the kit of a particular manufacturer, whose name figures in it directly. The target kit is the Italeri one.
The AMX came about in the 1980s as a joint project of the Italian and the Brazilian aviation industries, a compact subsonic machine for close support, reconnaissance and strikes at low altitudes. The two-seat AMX-T variant serves for converting pilots while keeping the combat capabilities of the single-seat version. The type went through deployment in the Balkans and in further operations and flew in both countries for decades. For a modeler the AMX-T is a rewarding subject thanks also to the varied national insignia of both operators.
On a two-seat machine, keep to the correct division of the elements between the front and the rear cockpit, as the layout of the instruments differs between the stations. Apply the decals to a satin base and after every step compare that the two cockpits are in line. Apply the unifying layer of varnish only once both stations are complete.
