A resin set from the premium BRASSIN line of the Czech maker Eduard of Obrnice near Most. It represents the AN/ALQ-131 electronic jamming pod in its deeper variant in 1:72 scale. It is a detailed external accessory for models of combat aircraft, not a standalone model of an aircraft.
The AN/ALQ-131 is an American electronic warfare pod carried externally and used to jam enemy radars and guidance systems. It is carried on a fuselage or underwing pylon of American-built tactical aircraft. The deeper version has a taller body than the shallow variant, because it takes expanded internal electronics.
Before gluing, the resin parts are washed to remove any mold release agent, the casting blocks are cut off with a saw or a cutter and the surface is sanded. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The pod is hung on the matching pylon of the model and painted together with it.
This is a resin accessory for more experienced modelers, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
