This injection-molded plastic kit captures the two-seat S.V.A.10 version of the Italian Ansaldo biplane in 1:72 scale. The Other services release differs from the Italian variant in its decal sheet with the markings of machines operated outside Italian service. The package holds plastic parts, clear parts and decals for finishing the model.
The Ansaldo S.V.A. family was among the fastest aircraft of the end of the First World War. The two-seat S.V.A.10 version served for reconnaissance and light bombing; the rear crew member operated a flexible machine gun. After 1918 these machines entered service with a number of other states, where they flew long after the end of the war. The powerplant was an SPA engine of around 220 horsepower.
Glue the fine parts with thin plastic cement and clean up the flash. On a biplane, take care to seat the upper wing, the struts and the armament precisely. Before applying the decals, coat the surface with gloss varnish so that the markings adhere well. Pay particular attention to the wood finish and the bracing wires, which contribute a great deal to realism in a small scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
