A resin detail set from Aires in 1:72 scale holding the wheels of the AV-8B Harrier attack aircraft together with masking film. This is not a model of the aircraft but an aftermarket accessory that replaces the plastic wheels of the kit with a more faithful rendition, with fine relief of the tires and hubs.
The AV-8B Harrier is a single-seat attack aircraft able to take off and land vertically as well as from a short run. It was derived from the original Harrier and was flown by the US Marine Corps among others. Landing gear wheels are a rewarding detail on models, because they are easy to see.
Wash the wheels free of mold release residue and separate them from the casting blocks. The enclosed masking film makes a clean separation of the tire color from the hub easier: stick it on the hub, spray the tire color and peel it off once it has dried. Glue the resin parts with super glue. Some modelers seat the wheels only after the aircraft has been varnished.
This is a resin accessory with masks. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
