The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was an American four-engine bomber with a high-set narrow wing, twin vertical tail surfaces and a deep fuselage with a bomb bay closed by roller doors. It was powered by Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp radial engines with turbochargers, thanks to which it held its performance at high altitude. It was built in large numbers and used not only as a bomber but also for patrol and transport tasks. Inside it was a busy space with crew stations, which is a rewarding subject for interior sets.
The set falls into the branch of resin and plastic accessories, so adapt the procedure to the material of the parts in the package. Wash resin castings in lukewarm soapy water, as paint will not otherwise hold on them. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutting disc, level the surface with a file and sand wet and with respiratory protection. Resin is glued with super glue and plastic with ordinary modeling cement. Fit and paint the parts before gluing the fuselage together and keep dry-fitting the halves; thin the walls from the inside as needed, so that they can be joined without pressure. Spray the interior with a primer and paint, add a dark wash and a dry brush, and finally paint in the instruments and the belts.
