B-24 Liberator oxygen cylinders is a resin oxygen cylinder set for a 1:72 Consolidated B-24 Liberator model from Quickboost (Aires).
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of finely cast oxygen cylinders for building the American Consolidated B-24 Liberator heavy bomber in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane kit but a resin interior accessory that brings the fuselage and the crew stations of the model to life with more faithful detail than the plastic kit. It is made by Quickboost, a brand of the Aires company.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was an American four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War with a high-mounted Davis wing. At high altitude the crew used an oxygen system that included pressure cylinders distributed through the fuselage. These cylinders are a rewarding detail when building a model with an open interior.
Wash the resin castings in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces, then bond the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A different color and a fine wash will bring out the cylinders, ideally before the fuselage is closed up. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
