The Centauro B1 is an Italian wheeled tank destroyer in an 8x8 layout, developed by the Iveco Fiat and Oto Melara consortium. Its main armament is a stabilized 105 mm gun with a barrel length of 52 calibers. The combination of firepower close to that of a tracked tank with the speed and reach of a wheeled chassis made it a favorite vehicle of rapid units; it was committed in a number of international operations.
With kits from short runs, clean up the small parts carefully and check the fit dry; the wheel axles tend to be slender, so proceed with care. Paint the running gear and the underside of the hull before the superstructures cover them. Lay down the base green or desert camouflage with an airbrush, and refine the weathering with washes in the recesses and dust pigments on the wheels.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
