A resin detail accessory of the Quickboost brand, made by Aires, in 1:72 scale. This is not an aircraft model but a nose air intake with a central cone with which you refine the intake of the BAC Lightning. The fine casting has a faithful shape and a cleanly rendered inner duct.
The BAC Lightning was a British supersonic interceptor, powered by a pair of jet engines mounted one above the other. Its characteristic nose air intake had a cone in the middle in which the radar was housed.
Wash the mold release residue off the part, carefully separate the casting block and bond it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Check the fit of the intake against the forward fuselage before gluing.
The accessory is supplied as a resin part. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
