A paint from the Mr.Color range of the Japanese brand Gunze, listed under the manufacturer's part number C609. Its name refers to deck areas with a non-skid finish, that is to a surface that on a real ship was given its own coat, different from the sides of the hull and from the superstructures. Judge the exact shade from the manufacturer's color chart and from the label on the bottle, which conveys the color more faithfully than any description in words.
Choose the thinner intended for this range and keep to the thinning ratio stated by the manufacturer on the packaging. Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly before use, otherwise the pigment stays settled at the bottom and the shade drifts. With an airbrush, apply several thin coats with a pause between them; one heavy coat will fill the engraving and bury the fine detail. The paint also holds when brushed, but keep the strokes brisk and do not go back into a coat that has started to become tacky. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand, because on greasy plastic the paint pulls into beads.
It suits the decks of ship models and anywhere you need to set an area with a non-skid finish apart from the surface around it. Work in a well-ventilated space and close the bottle carefully after use, so that the paint does not thicken.
Thinner, brushes and airbrushes are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The volume of the package is given on the packaging.
