Responsibility details are not available.
This diorama battle set from the Italian brand Italeri in 1:72 scale makes it possible to build a scene from the fighting for the little town of Sainte-Mère-Église during the Normandy landings. According to the manufacturer the set contains the building of the local church (a laser-cut board), numerous figures of German infantry and American paratroopers, an Sd.Kfz. 251 armored personnel carrier and a set of town accessories. It is a comprehensive set from which you build a complete scene rather than just one model.
In the early hours of 6 June 1944, paratroopers of the famous American airborne divisions took the small Normandy town of Sainte-Mère-Église after hard fighting. It was one of the first places liberated during Operation Overlord and became a symbol of the airborne operation of D-Day. The fight for the town and its surroundings is one of the best-known episodes of the Normandy landings.
Glue the figures and the plastic parts with liquid cement for plastic and the building according to the instructions. The small 1:72 scale calls for patience and a fine brush; bring the uniforms and the equipment to life with toning and dry-brushing. Unify the terrain, the church and the vehicle with pigments and washes, so that the scene looks consistent and convincing.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
