This detail set holds resin wheels with a faithful tire tread for the Bristol Beaufighter in 1:72 scale and, with them, masking film for clean painting of the tires and hubs. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory that will replace the wheels from the plastic kit. This variant has the standard hub pattern; a version with five-spoke hubs exists as well.
The Bristol Beaufighter is a British twin-engine multipurpose aircraft of the Second World War, used as a heavy fighter, a night fighter and an attack and torpedo machine. It stood out for heavy armament and a sturdy structure with a pair of radial engines.
Wash the wheels free of mold release residue and cut off the casting blocks. The contact patch of the tire can be sanded down lightly for a loaded look. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Stick the masking film on the wheels and paint the tire and the hub separately.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory for the kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
