Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British truck Bedford QL in the airfield refueller version in 1:72 scale from IBG models. The kit contains a finely rendered cab and engine, photo-etched parts and decals for two color schemes. The model is supplied unassembled and makes a rewarding addition to aviation as well as ground scenes.
The three-ton Bedford QL was among the most widespread British trucks of the Second World War. A whole range of purpose-built versions grew out of it, and the tanker form served to refuel aircraft at field as well as permanent airfields. It was precisely these vehicles that formed an inconspicuous but essential part of the support of the Allied air forces.
The truck is rewarding in dioramas and as a model on its own. Paint the cab and the engine before closing them up so that the details stand out. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Unify the body with a base color, add washes into the recesses and fine chipping and dust on the chassis. Treat the small pneumatic tires with a matte color.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
