This set from Bilek contains waterslide decals and additional metal (photo-etched) parts for the Messerschmitt Bf 109F fighter in 1:72 scale. The markings cover several versions of the Friedrich – the Bf 109F-2, the F-4 and the tropical fit – so you can choose from several color schemes. The metal parts serve to sharpen up small details of the model.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109F, the Friedrich, tends to be regarded as the aerodynamically cleanest version of the famous fighter, with rounded wingtips, a new cowling and a spinner. It was used on most fronts of the early war and the leading German pilots flew it. The tropical fit added dust filters for service in Africa and the Mediterranean.
Apply the decals onto a glossy, smooth finish, settle them with a decal softener and varnish over them once dry. Separate the metal parts, shape them and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; degrease the contact faces before gluing.
This is an accessory set, not an aircraft model. The kit is not included in the package.
