Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. The Weekend line is an edition without photo-etched parts and masks: it offers well shaped plastic parts and a decal sheet for several marking options. The model is meant to be glued and painted.
The Bf 109G-6 was among the most widespread and most heavily produced versions of the famous Messerschmitt and formed the backbone of the German fighter force from 1943 to the end of the Second World War. It was powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 605A engine. The characteristic feature of the G-6 version were the fairings over the fuselage, the so-called Beulen, covering the breeches of the larger-caliber synchronized machine guns. The aircraft served on every front and a number of well known fighter aces flew it.
Use thin modeling cement on the plastic joints and clean the flash off the parts first. Before painting we recommend a primer and an airbrush for smooth transitions in the camouflage. German fighters of this period carried light blue lower surfaces and gray-green upper camouflage, an ideal base for picking out the panel lines and adding a fine patina afterward.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
