The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 is the most widespread version of the German single-engine fighter of the Second World War. It is powered by the liquid-cooled inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 605. The G-6 version is recognized by the pair of prominent bulges on the engine cowling, which had to appear because of the bulkier breeches of the synchronized 13 mm machine guns. The machine was small, fast and delicate to land, because it had a narrow landing gear track.
The FuG 350 Naxos was a passive receiver that picked up the emissions of British airborne radars. Using it, the crew could home in on bomber formations without transmitting and giving themselves away. The equipment appeared on machines used against night raids, and it is exactly that version of the Bf 109G-6 that the kit represents. The manufacturer's instructions give the details of the installation, the armament and the finish.
A kit of the model in 1:72 scale. The parts are unassembled and unpainted, and to build it you need glue, paints and basic modeling tools. Cut off any excess material and traces of manufacture with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down. Paint the cockpit and the pilot's compartment before you close the fuselage; later you cannot reach them. The number of parts, the extent of the decals and the recommended shades are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Paints, glue and modeling tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
