Figures of British tankers from the North African battlefield in 1:72 scale. An accessory for models of British hardware and for desert dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of figures of British tank crews from the battlefield in North Africa, in 1:72 scale. It is an accessory for models of hardware, thanks to which a finished model gains scale and a scene gains a story.
A tank without people is just a shape on a base. As soon as the commander leans out of the turret or the driver props himself beside the track, the viewer recognizes the size of the machine at once and understands what is happening in the scene. In a small scale that holds doubly, because the model itself is only a few centimeters long and the human figure is the one reference everybody knows by heart.
Wash and degrease the figures before painting and lay down a primer, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. In 1:72 scale it does not pay to paint every detail; what decides is a legible outline, a light area of face and a darker shadow in the folds. Keep the uniform in muted shades and then unify it with a light dusting of the same color as the terrain under the model. Paint the crew separately from the machine and seat them at the very end, or you will not get a brush into the hatch.
The package holds the stated figures. Paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
