This item is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for one. The set contains self-adhesive masks cut to the shape of the window frames and the windshield of a model of the BAe 125-800 jet and its military versions in 1:72 scale. A small scale is particularly thankless for masking: the windows of an airliner are tiny, regular and numerous, so cutting tape by hand takes longer than the painting itself. Die-cut templates shorten that step to a few minutes.
The BAe 125-800 is a twin-engine business jet with a T-tail and a cabin for a few passengers. Besides civil operation it also entered military service: the designation C-29A was carried by US Air Force aircraft used to check and calibrate navigation and landing equipment, and the designation U-125 is used by the Japanese self-defense forces. One type of aircraft therefore appears in completely different liveries, from a discreet corporate scheme to bold high-visibility colors.
Wash and degrease the clear part before applying them. Transfer the small masks with fine-tipped tweezers and lay them on dry, then press them down with a toothpick. With a row of identical windows it pays to work systematically from front to back so that you do not lose your place. Spray the finish in thin coats. Lift the masks soon after the paint has dried; in a small scale, a mask lifted late risks pulling the paint off a thin frame with it.
