A photo-etched detail set for the CAC CA-3/5 Wirraway model in 1:72 scale from Brengun is an accessory to a kit you have already bought, not an aircraft model of its own.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aftermarket accessory from the Czech company Brengun on a sheet of photochemically etched metal. The parts are cut for one particular kit, the Special Hobby one, and serve to refine and complete it. The package holds no model and no plastic parts.
The Wirraway was an Australian two-seat training and observation aircraft with a radial engine, derived from an American trainer design of the 1930s. Its long glazed cockpit for a crew of two is characteristic, and thanks to it the interior is clearly visible on a finished model; that is exactly why a photo-etched set pays off more on this type than on machines with a cramped single-seat cockpit.
Separate the parts with a scalpel on a hard surface; never break them out. Make the bends in a bending tool or between two blades, and a light score from the inside helps create a sharper edge. A stiffer piece can be softened by brief, careful warming over a flame. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer. It is bonded with super glue applied in a microscopic amount, ideally on the tip of a wire. Painting divided areas is easier if the small parts are fitted only after the surroundings have been sprayed.
The accessory is supplied on its own and unpainted. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
