1:72 Camouflage Paint Masks For Splinter F-16C 64th Aggressor Squadron are DN Models painting masks for the blue broken finish of the aggressor F-16Cs from Nellis in Nevada.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the DN Models brand covers the geometric finish in blue tones with which the US Air Force marks machines playing the role of the opponent. Everything fits onto one sheet and the cutouts are semi-transparent, so when laying them down you see exactly where the new edge will lie.
The subjects were Fighting Falcons with the numbers 85-418 and 83-159 from the 64th Aggressor Squadron, which is based at Nellis in Nevada. Its task is to play the enemy at large international exercises over the Nevada desert, and that is why the machines are given finishes imitating the colors of foreign air forces. The blue variant came about as a counterpart to the desert and arctic schemes of the same unit.
It works well to lay the lighter blue over the whole surface, let it dry thoroughly and only then stick the cutouts on for the darker fields. Anyone who wants to be sure of a sharp edge goes over the applied mask with the edge of a toothpick. The material can be used once more after removal, provided you put it away adhesive side down on a smooth film straight away.
The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
