A detail accessory for models of the late Spitfire Mk. 22 in 1:72 scale. It is a vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear canopy from the Rob Taurus brand in the version for showing the canopy both open and closed. This is not an airplane model but replacement glazing.
Vacuum-formed glazing is thin and clear, so it looks more faithful in scale and reveals the cockpit interior better. It replaces the thick-walled part from the box.
Cut the parts out with an overlap, sand the edges down gently and check the fit dry. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with glue for clear parts. Glue an open canopy on only once the cockpit is finished.
The accessory does not contain a plastic model or paints; it serves only as a replacement canopy.
