The Boeing Vertol CH-46 Sea Knight is a medium transport helicopter with a tandem rotor layout. It has no tail rotor; lift and balance are both handled by two counter-rotating rotors above the front and rear pylons. The cargo hold is reached through a folding rear ramp, which made it a practical machine for inserting squads and for moving cargo between ships. The CH-46D version was an upgraded variant with more powerful engines. With the US Marine Corps the machine served for several decades and became one of the most recognizable helicopters of its class.
With an extensive set it pays to plan the work in advance. First dry-fit all the parts and only then cut into the plastic, because the individual assemblies follow on from each other and a mistake in one cutout shows up at the other end of the fuselage. Wash the castings in warm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and wet-sand with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue, and the joints are puttied and sanded. Paint and shade the interior spaces before you close them. Given the weight of resin, check whether the model will not overload the landing gear or the stand.
This is an accessory, not a helicopter kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
