A set of small resin exterior details, antennas and a pitot tube, for the British Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I turret fighter in 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part that will replace the coarser or missing plastic parts from the base kit, not an airplane model.
The Boulton Paul Defiant was a British two-seat fighter of the Second World War with its armament in a rotating dorsal turret, powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine. Small antennas and the pitot tube are among the fittings that round the aircraft out and are clearly visible on an accurate model, even though in plastic they tend to be simplified.
Resin parts call for more careful work than plastic: first wash them to remove mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting block (the gate) and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. The thin antennas and the tube are fragile, so separate and glue them carefully; check their position against documentation of the aircraft.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
