A set of self-adhesive masks from the maker Montex, intended for the kit of the DHC-1 Chipmunk aircraft in the T.30 version in 1:72 scale. The long tandem canopy of the Chipmunk has a dense network of frames - masks will make it possible to spray them in one go, with a uniform width and with no paint drawn underneath.
The DHC-1 Chipmunk came about shortly after the Second World War as the first independent design of the Canadian branch of de Havilland and became one of the most widespread elementary trainers of its era. The two-seat low-wing monoplane with an inline engine stood out for the interplay of good-natured flying qualities and honest feedback for the pupil. Besides the air forces of a number of countries, the type was taken up by civil operators and the flying club scene as well; many Chipmunks are kept in airworthy condition to this day. The set is intended for the rendering designated as the T.30 version.
Degrease the clear part, transfer the pieces of the masks with tweezers and line them up along the framing of the canopy. Burnish the edges down thoroughly with a toothpick, apply the paint in thin layers and take the masks off shortly after it has dried, while the edge of the paint is still flexible. With the inner color of the frames as the first layer you will achieve the right look from both sides.
This is a modeling accessory - the kit of the aircraft itself is not included in the package.
