The EF-111A Raven is an American electronic warfare aircraft which arose by converting the F-111 machine. It therefore kept the wing with variable sweep as well as the wide nose in which the crew sits side by side rather than one behind the other. It is precisely the side-by-side arrangement of the cockpit that is clearly visible under the glazing, and on a model it makes it the place everyone looks at.
The set replaces the cockpit from the kit with a part with a more detailed inside, that is with deeper definition of the panels and consoles. In 1:72 scale injection molded cockpits tend to be simplified, and with a wide cockpit that shows more than elsewhere, because almost the whole area is visible through the glazing. The name gives the Italeri kit in 1:72 scale; what exactly the package contains and which kit number the set belongs to should be checked against the manufacturer's information on the packaging and in the instructions.
The parts are not made of polystyrene and cement for plastic will not join them; use super glue or two-part glue and degrease the surfaces before joining. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down. Fit the cockpit into the halves of the fuselage dry before gluing, sand any overhangs off so that the fuselage can be closed without pressure, and watch that the height against the glazing fits as well. Before painting, wash it in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap, choose the shades according to the instructions and bring the three-dimensional detail out with a dark glaze and drybrushing.
