This set is a resin accessory in 1:72 scale, not a stand-alone aircraft model. It replaces the original tandem two-seat cockpit of a plastic F-14A Tomcat kit with a one-piece resin casting with crisp detail of both tubs, the seats, the side consoles and the instrument panels. It is intended for experienced modelers who want to take the cockpit beyond the level of the molding from the box.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was an American twin-engine carrier fighter of the Navy with a variable-sweep wing and a two-man crew. It served above all to defend carrier battle groups at long range and became famous for its powerful radar and missile armament. The A version was the basic standard.
This is a resin casting for the advanced. First wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and clean up the cut surfaces, always with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); try the surfaces dry before fixing them. It is worth painting and picking out the cockpit before the fuselage is closed.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set. The aircraft kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
