Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the carrier fighter aircraft Grumman F-14A Tomcat in the equipment of the US Navy, 1:72 scale, the manufacturer Great Wall Hobby. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and belongs to the category of modern tooling with fine engraved surface detail.
The F-14 Tomcat was a two-seat twin-engine fighter aircraft with a wing of variable geometry, developed for the defense of a carrier group. The wing set itself automatically in flight according to speed, which allowed the aircraft both a slow landing regime on the deck and high speed in transit. The crew consisted of a pilot and a weapon systems operator, who worked the powerful airborne radar with its great reach. Version A was the first production form and made up the backbone of the naval fighter squadrons for a long part of the type's service.
With the Tomcat in 1:72 scale a few places are what count. Try the movable wing out dry beforehand and check that in the swept as well as the spread position it closes without a gap. The air intakes and the exhaust nozzles are worth assembling, cleaning the joints up and spraying before the fuselage is closed. The cockpit is visible, so it pays to devote time to the seats and the panels. Spray the gray low-visibility scheme in thin layers and handle the differences of shade between panels by lightening the centers of the areas slightly, not with pronounced patches. Before the decals, seal the surface with gloss clear without fail.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
