Quickboost replacement exhaust stubs for a Hawker Typhoon model in 1:72 scale. They replace the parts from the original kit on the sides of the forward fuselage.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Typhoon is a British single-seat fighter-bomber of the Second World War. You recognize it by the hefty radiator under the nose and the thick wing; in the second half of the war it served mainly to attack ground targets. The exhaust stubs project on both sides of the forward fuselage just behind the engine cowling, and they are one of the few places where an opening is visible even in a small scale.
The set replaces the exhausts from the original kit with separate parts on which the shape of the stubs is rendered more cleanly and crisply than is usual with the parts from an ordinary kit in this scale. The parts are fitted in the same place as the originals, so the intervention in the build stays small.
Cut surplus material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down so that the mating face is flat. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. The exhausts are fitted dry as a trial before the fuselage halves are glued together, because once the fuselage has set the position can no longer be moved. They are usually painted in dark metallic shades and completed with an exhaust trace led back along the fuselage, that is in the direction of the airflow.
The set is for modelers who want to rid the exhausts on a finished model of their blobby shape and bring out the area around the engine. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
