Responsibility details are not available.
The F-15C Eagle is an American single-seat fighter designed for air superiority. It has a high-set wing of large area, two vertical tails and a good view from the cockpit under a bubble canopy. The single-seat C version formed the backbone of the fighter force of the United States for decades and remains a popular modeling subject to this day.
A photo-etched metal fret in 1:72 scale intended for building a model of the F-15C. Photo-etching is used where a plastic part is too thick for the scale or where a small structure is missing that cannot be created by injection molding. In 1:72 the difference shows above all in the cockpit and on small external equipment. The particular list of parts, their placement and the recommended order of work are given in the maker's instructions.
Cut the parts from the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface, always a little away from the shape, and level the remaining tab with a file. Bend them over a straight edge or in a bender, in one movement: repeated straightening cracks the metal. Where photo-etching replaces a plastic section, cut the original part off first and sand the area. It is bonded with super glue in drops. Before painting, degrease the fret and use a primer made for metal, otherwise the paint rubs off during handling.
For the modeler who builds the F-15C in 1:72 scale and wants to push the detail beyond the level of plastic parts. The package holds the photo-etched fret according to the maker's list; paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
